DATA - Any sort of raw fact
DISTANCE LEARNING - An alternative to traditional classroom learning in which students participate from the current location
INTERNET CAFE - A business that provides computer and Internet access to individuals
INFORMATION - Data organized in a usable form
NETIQUETTE - Special guidelines use for proper online behavior
PERIPHERALS - Pieces of hardware that is an add-on component to the computer
SUPERCOMPUTER - A powerful & most expensive type of computer available that typically runs one application at a time
TELECOMMUTING - A work arrangement in which employees enjoy flexibility in working location and hours
THIN CLIENT - Designed solely to access a network
USERNAME - An identifying name
WIRELESS HOTSPOTS - Allows students the ability to connect their computers wirelessly to the college network & Internet from anywhere on campus for research purposes
VERNACULAR - Used to categorize methods of construction that is used locally to address local needs
